Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Two good reasons to make these:
1. It's autumn time.
2. They're delicious.

1 c. canned pumpkin
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. applesauce (substituted for oil)
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
1 t. milk
1 t. vanilla
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Combine baking soda and milk and add to flour mixture. In a mixer, combine pumpkin, sugar, applesauce/oil, and egg. Stir in flour mixture. Add vanilla, chocolate chips, and nuts. Bake at 350 for 9-10 minutes.

Note: Will be very soft when done cooking (especially if you used applesauce) so be careful when transferring from pan.
